Sim Farm classic strategy/simulation/business PC game. Bought machinery, planted two nice fields with paths, wind erosion and floodwater protection and everything until incredibly dumb livestock devastated everything.

This brings back memories of 1995-1998 when I was living in NC, and use to visit my aunt and uncle in SC (they’re in FL now). I use to sleep on the floor of their computer room, so I spent hours playing this (and You Don’t Know Jack).I’d usually get kicked off the computer by my uncle, when I had been on the computer long enough. All I need is the sound of a close by freight train roaring by, and I’m there now. I may have to DL this to my old POS Dell, that is capable of running DOS.

I have this game. I used to play it in the 90’s.
If you want a perfect game, grow oranges. After a few seasons they will not have any problems nor need any spray or water.
You have to go to file -> Load Crop to get oranges.
Also there are other tricks.. like harvest your crop and don’t sell it, but store it in a silo. Then go to Disasters and cause a disaster, like a drought. The value of your stored harvest will skyrocket, and you can sell it for a lot of money.

I have heard about DOSbox, but havent gotten to use it yet (still a tad nervous about downloading various amounts of applications on my new computer.. but might happen sooner or later). Anyways, would you happen to know is DOSbox is compatible on a 64bit system?

There`s a program called DOSbox wich emulates DOS. It is excellent to play the old dos games that windows cant run anymore. I use it, and so far, all the games i’ve tried worked fine. You just have to know a little about the DOS command lines to use the DOSbox.
